We grow students to become new leaders with Computer Science (CS) skills who will thrive in the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) age, regardless of location and background. We invite passionate tech professionals to inspire, use state-of-the-art AI to augment, and collaborate on the cloud to bridge everyone worldwide, enabling students to solve real-world problems as a team to contribute back to the communities.
Course Schedule
Duration: Dec 07, 2024 – Mar 01 , 2025 (10 weeks, excluding holidays)
Weekly Sessions:
US: Fridays, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM (PST/GMT-8)
Taiwan & Hong Kong: Saturdays, 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM (GMT+8)
Format: 10 online classes (1.5 hours each) with team-based projects and mentorship from industry professionals

Yes, fluency in English and comfort in presenting in front of an audience are important for understanding the lectures, collaborations, and presentations during the course.

The course is open to all college and university students that, regardless of their major.
We welcome individuals from various academic backgrounds who are interested in AI.
Do note that the course, presentation, and team projects will be purely English, so fluency in English is required

By the end of the course, you will develop a fully functional AI Tutor app of your choice, gaining expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technologies.

While coding experience is not mandatory, it’ll make the course easier. If you have no coding experience, please indicate that in the application.

Week 1: Orientation (30 mins)
Week 2: Prompt engineering.
Week 3: Introduction to AI and Gemini.
Week 4: Advanced features of Gemini.
Week 5: Setting up and basic interactions.
Week 6: Introduction to RAG.
Week 7: Building the AI tutor core.
Week 8: Integration and user interface development.
Week 9: Testing and evaluation.
Week 10: Showcase (90 mins)

No specific experience is required, but we ask you to describe your familiarity with generative AI to better tailor the course to your needs.

You will collaborate with a team of five to launch a generative AI app on GitHub and present it to a panel of professional judges.

You will be paired with at least one college or university student from a different country or region.

Coaches will follow a team of 5 students from week 7 to 9.
Mentors will host office hours according to their specific professional topic E.g: Eng, Product, UX, from week 3~9, as well as provide 1 on 1 coaching opportunity

All teams will present their final projects, and each team member must participate in the presentation. Team members will decide how to allocate speaking roles among themselves.
