  2. Present the final project & demo the app to the panel of professional judges

Outcomes

  1. Understand the fundamentals of Large Language Models (LLMs),  Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), etc tech by building a GenAI Tutor application.

  2. Practice the skills to land a GenAI app, working as a team & maximizing learning for the coach.

  3. Gain hands-on experience to be ready for further research or next job opportunities.

Impacts

  1. Prototype an AI Tutor for [X] to scale by GenAI & validate how helpful they can be.

  2. Explore what topics GenAI can help & select intern candidates to help relevant non-profit orgs to build.

  3. Cultivate passionate seeds for the next Teaching Assistant candidates for other GenAI courses for high schoolers.

Principles

  1. Learning by doing: with hands-on, project-based learning with weekly tasks and milestones.

  2. Solve a real-world problem: each team will pick the topic they care about from their life. And, the coaches will guide the team & the project as that in their professional work.

  3. Accelerate & Augment by AI: students are encouraged to use any AI tools to help them gain deep knowledge, acquire new skills, and accelerate the progress.

  4. Teamwork rules: students will learn from each other & help each other to achieve the total achievement is much bigger than the total of the sum.
